Dreaming of Iceland

So, I know it has been a while. Jacob and I got back from Iceland about a month ago, and with the holidays and all, it has been so hectic! I plan on getting back to working on this blog, and Jacob is going to work on all of the GoPro content we got while we were in Iceland. So I promise, we will have blogs on our experiences, places to go, and all of our tips and suggestions. For now, I’ll just give a short overview of how our trip was. Make sure you stay tuned for more blogs in the near future that include many more details. 🙂

So we started out trip by driving from Cleveland to Boston. Our flight was about $500 roundtrip for the both of us through WOW Airlines! It was such a deal. The plane was nothing special, but for the price, it was totally worth it. It was a six hour flight with no layovers. We landed at about 4:30am, and totally exhausted, we went and slept at our Airbnb. From there on, we didn’t have one moment where we weren’t amazed by what Iceland had to offer.

Iceland is nothing short of perfect. Every hour you are on the road, you feel like you’re on another planet.

IMG_6105.JPG

I know that a lot of travelers advise others not to travel to Iceland in the winter, but in my opinion it was absolutely gorgeous and well worth it. We hit no issues with weather until we got up north. It snowed like three days straight while we were in Akeuryi, but we had no issues driving until we got to the Westfjords. That’s when the white-outs started while we were going up and down mountains. That was the scariest part! I am going to be completely honest here; I loved south Iceland MUCH more than the north. The north is worth seeing, but spend more time in the south. You will go from driving through places like thisIMG_5740.JPG

to places like this

then this, (sorry for the crappy picture) which looked like we were on the moon with absolutely nothing else for miles15750379_10207781782038510_1124542050_n.png

to this.

Iceland is changing every hour you drive the Ring Road. It will never cease to amaze you. One of the most amazing aspects of Iceland are the waterfalls. Here are just a few to give you a wow factor!

I promise, I will get into further detail about all of these amazing places and more in other blogs. Not only was Iceland the trip of a lifetime, but Iceland was also the place where I got to say yes to spending the rest of my life with the most incredible man I know. He proposed in the most amazing spot ever, Vestrahorn. This is a black sands beach surrounded by amazing jagged mountains. 15039572_10207434336792596_8740213980860555657_o.jpgIMG_6867.JPG

Not only was it a beautiful place, with the most important person in my life, but the ring is also incredible, and reminds me of the raw blue waters of Iceland.

IMG_7746.JPG

Overall, this trip is one that cannot be beat. Well, maybe until next August when we hopefully go back and get married on the same beach with our closest loved ones. 🙂 Stay tuned for more about that as well!

Please continue to look out for more blogs to come with more tips, suggestions, locations, packing lists, itineraries, and more!

South Chagrin Reservation Adventure

Hey everyone! So today was a great day. Jacob and I headed out to the South Chagrin Reservation within the Cleveland Metroparks! We decided to try to find what waterfalls they had to offer, and we found a couple great ones. If you’re ever in the Cleveland area and want to do some hiking, it’s a great choice. We plan on heading to other parts of the metroparks in the future, so be watching for that!

We ended up starting our adventure by parking in the Sulfur Springs parking lot. There is a small but gorgeous waterfall just a few feet from the lot!

img_5432img_5430img_5442

These were small falls, but were gorgeous to capture. It was really awesome being able to be so close to them as well.

IMG_5426.JPG img_5427-copy

We then headed up the road to the bridal trail. We had about six waterfalls to see, but only got to about three. We got too distracted taking pictures and whatnot and it started to get dark! We walked by a road quite a bit of the time, and let me tell you, I love Northeast Ohio roads! They are so gorgeous, especially in the fall!img_5280img_5322

After a little bit of walking by the road, we came up to the river and actually had to cross it. Right where we crossed it was another cute little waterfall. Jacob was able to walk right up on top of this tiny waterfall!

img_5411img_5396img_5418

I absolutely just love the leaves in the water!IMG_5409.JPG

Next, we found a little waterfall that was surrounded by cement walls that had graffiti. As much as I wish it were more natural, it was still really cute! We decided to have a little picture spree there. 🙂

img_5291img_5379img_5388img_5364img_5390img_5369

We then just decided to walk on the trail and take in the gorgeous river!

img_5298img_5305 We saw this little doe as well 🙂 They’re all over Ohio! I love them.IMG_5470.JPG Ohio is just gorgeous in the fall. The season of fall is by far my favorite. The leaves that fall everywhere are magical.

img_5318img_5319 And of course, it’s us, so we had to be a little dumb. :b

img_5336img_5351img_5402img_5403img_5339

Bob’s Burgers Burger of the Day: Baby You Can Chive My Car Burger

Hey everyone! So today starts a weekly blog with a tutorial on Bob Belcher’s Burger of the Day specials!

51y10xezljl-_sx351_bo1204203200_

If you’re a Bob’s Burgers Fan, you know that Bob puts a new special on their chalkboard every day! I have bought the cookbook of these specials, and I am excited to share the recipes with you! If you love Bob’s Burgers, this will be a very exciting thing for you! If not, just enjoy a unique and witty named burger! Be sure to follow, and also go to our other social medias for weekly burger of the day videos, as well as travel videos!

Here is a link to all of our social medias! elink.io/97257  They are also located on the side bar of this page!

We have a full video on how to make the burger on our YouTube, so be sure to check that out!

img_5176

So the first burger of the day is the “Baby You Can Chive My Car Burger”. This burger is super special to Bob because it is the first burger that was his own that he tried to give to a daily customer at his fathers restaurant. So as a first burger for him, we decided to make it the first burger that we create!

IMG_5222.jpg

img_5212

So the first step is to get all of the ingredients together! (of course add a pound of beef as well, and salt and pepper for seasoning!)

Snapshot 1 (10-22-2016 8-16 PM).png

Next, you’re going to make the pickle wheels for the burger car. Mix the flour, Cajun seasoning, and some salt together in a small bowl.

img_5214-copy

You will then beat the egg in another bowl, dip a pickle chip in, then dredge it in the flour mixture. You can double that step in order to add more breading on the pickle. You then will take all of the pickles and put them in pre-heated oil. You can heat the oil at medium-high on the stove. Each burger gets four pickle wheels, so make sure you make enough for however many burgers you’re making! Keep each pickle in for about a minute, then flip each one and continue to heat for another minute. After that, take each one out with a slotted spoon, and let them drain on a paper towel! You can now put your pickle wheels off to the side until you put the whole burger together!

img_5239

Next, you’re going to make the patty! Take the feta, and mix it in with the beef. Make sure it is all mixed in, then make your patties. Make each patty a little bit bigger than the size of the bun you are using. That way it will shrink to the size of the bun! Make sure to season each side with salt and pepper. Then go ahead and put your burger on the stove and cook to your own perfection!

img_5247

As your burger is cooking, start to make the spread that goes on the burger! Mix the chives, sour cream, and Dijon together. I would suggest possibly using a little less Dijon than the recipe calls for. I preferred it that way. You can always add if you want more! Mix those all together really well!

img_5221img_5252

As soon as your patties are done cooking, start to create your masterpiece! Put your patty on the bottom bun, then add the spread to the top bun. Attach the pickle wheels with toothpicks, then you have created your first Bob’s Burgers burger of the day!

The Start of Something New

Hey all! My name is Hannah, and yes, this is a new blog! In this first blog I’ll tell you all a bit about myself and my boyfriend, and our life together! I will also let you know of our upcoming plans and our goals for this blog. I hope you all enjoy!

So a bit about myself. I am currently 23 and a super-senior at Kent State University. I have a major in Hospitality Management with a minor in Tourism Management. One of my biggest aspirations in life is to become a world traveler, and possibly make a living off of that. I have two puppies that I love dearly. Baylor and Delilah!IMG_5026.JPG

There is Baylor! She is a beagle/blue heeler, and I love her to death!

IMG_5094.JPG

And here is a wet Delilah, who is a chocolate/silver Labrador!

So that is a bit about myself, now for my partner in crime, and the love of my life!

Jacob is a 23 year old student at Akron University (my rival!!), majoring in Human Resources. He absolutely loves soccer, especially Manchester United! Along with me, he wants to travel the world, and that is something we hope to do together!

Here we are!GOPR0061.JPG

I have found my fairy tale in this guy. And I’m sure I’ll get more into that with other blogs. There will be nothing but love, happiness, and passion in all of our posts and videos.

I don’t want to get too in depth about us, because you will learn more as we go! So now I’ll get to our goals for this blog. Well not only do we have this blog, but we also have a vlog that we started! So go to the side of this page, find our social medias, and follow us for more updates! Right now, we are going to aim for weekly updates, and hopefully the more we get comfortable, the more often it will be!

So one goal of this, is to of course try to capture the attention of many viewers! We have a couple of plans of what we will do with these vlogs/blogs. So I will give you a few ideas we have!

Well, for starters, we have an upcoming trip to Iceland next month! It’s so exciting! So I will be on here giving updates about the planning process, and give tips on how to plan a trip to Iceland! Then once we get there, we will be recording daily, and hopefully publishing daily! We are going to have some awesome videos and pictures! I will posting on here with what we do each day as well! So please, subscribe/follow us to follow our Iceland adventure!!! After Iceland, we will be taking many more trips! Even if they are only an hour away from us, we will be going on adventures very often. Another thing I want to add to this blog, is do a weekly cooking lesson on Bob’s Burgers burgers of the day! I bought the Bob’s Burgers cookbook, and will be doing lessons on each burger!51y10xezljl-_sx351_bo1204203200_

I will remind you, I am no chef! But I am a HUGE fan of Bob’s Burgers, so I thought this would be a fun addition!

Well that’s all I have for tonight! Please follow/subscribe to follow us and our adventures!
